Overview
CN7M is an austenitic stainless steel casting alloy covered by ASTM A744/A744M, engineered for highly corrosive environments involving strong acids and mixed chemical exposure. Its composition includes high levels of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and copper, delivering excellent resistance to sulfuric acid, nitric acid, phosphoric acid, and chloride-bearing solutions. This alloy is especially well-suited for use in chemical processing, pharmaceutical production, pollution control systems, and pulp and paper industries. CN7M provides reliable resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting, and is commonly used in components such as pump housings, valve bodies, and process piping exposed to aggressive media.
